TF ance repairs, go to McMurray MISS TURNER BECOMES BRIDE OF HERMAN NOBLITT Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Lila Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Turner of Old Fort, and Herman Otis Noblitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Noblitt of Old Fort, on Sunday, April 25, at two o’clock. The ceremony was performed at the Old Fort Baptist parsonage by the Rev. Dr. H. E. Walden, pastor of the church, in the pres ence of members of the immediate families and friends. The bride was dressed in a cream colored gabardine suit with which black accessories were used. The bridal bouquet was of red roses and lillies of the valley. Both bride and bridegroom are students at Old Fort high school, the latter being a member of the ■ graduating class of this year. SOCIETY— MRS GODFREY ENTERTAINS WITH BRIDGE PARTY Mrs. Charlie Godfrey entertain ed members of her bridge club and other guests at a party last week at her home at Blue Ridg e - “p score for the club was held by Mrs A. White, Mrs. V- A. Allison, Mrs. Dinsmore Crawford, Mrs. Fannie Fitzgerald, Mrs. Eliz abeth Dinwiddie, Miss Lou Lind sey,’and Mrs. Gordon Greenwood. Delightful refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Dinwiddie, Mrs. Sobol, and Miss Linsey. MRS. PERKINS HOSTESS TO MUSIC GROUP The music group of the Arts club met at “Dream’s End,' the home of Mrs. N. L. Perkins in Ridgecrest on Monday, May 3, at 8 p. m. Auxiliary Observes Twenty-Sixth Birthday The Woman's Auxiliary of the Swannanoa Presbyterian church met Monday afternoon at 2.30 at the home of Mrs. Charles H. Alex ander. Mrs. T. J. Hunter, presi dent, presided at the birthday party which was planned in honor of the 26th anniversary of the organization of the dub. Mrs. A. B Whitt presented the program during which a laige birthday cake with 26 candles was cut. Pillowing the program a birthday offering was taken. Twenty-one "members and guests were present for the occasion. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out. A social hour followed the program.
